Monkey on the loose!

This monkey was on Andy's apartment building in Bangalore, and the pictures are taken right outside Andy's bedroom window. This monkey must be a great climber because the apartment is on the 12th floor!!!

June 15, 2007 - All About Field Day

On June 11, 2007, we had our field day. Each person in a class had to wear a team color shirt. Our class had to wear purple. There were different stations to go to. At each station, we played a game. They would blow a horn to go to the next station. It was lots of fun!

Here are pictures from Andy's second grade music festival.

Andy and his family traveled to Bangkok, in Thailand. They visited the oldest and largest temple - Wat Po, home to the Reclining Buddha. Here is a picture of the massive Buddha - it is 46 meters long and 15 meters high. It makes everyone look so small!
Andy and Sam are making coin offerings in the next photo.




The family also visited The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew (The Temple of the Emerald Buddha). They met a young apprentice monk and saw dazzling sights. The statues are so neat!

Andy is seeing so many amazing things!!

Andy, we loved your pictures! :)
We had a few questions. We wondered if the monkey was making any sounds? Is that elephant a baby? Also, how close did you get to the monkey and elephant? Did you stay in the jeep the whole time or did you get out of it during the safari?
We can't believe you got to go on a real safari to see these animals - we can only read about them in books. You are so lucky!!
