After one of our students moved to India during the school year, we decided that a great way to keep in touch was through a blog. This way, we can keep him updated on what is going on in our classroom, and he can tell us all about life in India.

Andy sent us more neat pictures from Bali. Here are some from a Hindu temple site.
This is Barong, a mythological character who helps drive evil spirits away.

Hi Andy, It's Maddie again. Those pictures are so neat. Did you get to go into the temples? Was the spirit really a realperson from the past? Now we are starting to write the morning messages on our own. Are you doing anything interesting in school? Is there new foods in India?
The temple is all outside and you have to wear a skirt. The spirit is made up. We're doing multiplication in school now and a project for CUPA, an animal shelter. All the foods are new to me in India.
