May 25th, 2007

Andy and his family traveled to Bangkok, in Thailand. They visited the oldest and largest temple - Wat Po, home to the Reclining Buddha. Here is a picture of the massive Buddha - it is 46 meters long and 15 meters high. It makes everyone look so small!
Andy and Sam are making coin offerings in the next photo.

The family also visited The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew (The Temple of the Emerald Buddha). They met a young apprentice monk and saw dazzling sights. The statues are so neat!

Andy is seeing so many amazing things!!

Andy,
The Buddha must of been neat to see. It is cool that you get to travel a lot. How is your time in India going? Do you get out of school soon? We get out June 21st. Tell us about your classmates. Are they fun to play with?

Talk to you soon. We miss you!

From,
Brian

Hi Brian,

We get out June 29th because the school started three weeks late this year. We have parties and a trip to a water park called Club Cabana the last two weeks of school. My best friend here is Brandon and he from Australia. There are only two kids from the USA, me and Robert. Everyone is a lot of fun to play with.

Your friend, Andy
